Aquarobics
Aquarobics is a popular form of exercise for swimmers as well as non-swimmers. The class is choreographed to music and conducted in the shallow end of the pool.
Aquafitness
Evening classes for those who enjoy a variety of water exercises. The routines are changed daily to include AquaStep, Water Walking, Aquarobics, and Water Weights.
Aqua
Stars (October 2, 2007)
An aquatic program for
children with disabilities, 6th grade to High
school, who want to learn to swim or
improve their stroke techniques. Both levels
help participants prior to
getting ready to
compete in the Special Olympic activities.
Level I
Learn to swim and feel more comfortable in the
water.
Level II
Endurance swimming prep for Special Olympics Swim Team. Must have current physical
to compete on the Special Olympics Swim Team.
Arthritis Foundation YMCA Aquatic Program
This supervised exercise class uses mild resistance of the water to help rehabilitate muscles. Physician approval required.
Fit for Two
Prenatal class for expectant moms. Classes can help pregnant women strengthen muscles to increase comfort during pregnancy and enhance control during delivery, improve cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, posture, and circulation. Program also helps to reduce swelling and
varicose veins, ease gastrointestinal problems, and speed postpartum recovery. Class routine consists of warm-up, stretching, aerobic activity,
strengthening exercise, cool-down, discussion, and relaxation technique.
Little
Masters Swim Class
The goal of this program is to keep your child physically
fit through swimming. They will make new
friends, learn stroke techniques and have fun at
the same time!
Level I (3-5years)
Swimmers must have completed the Ray/Starfish
swim level and be comfortable in water over
their head.
Level II (6-up)
Swimmers must have completed the Minnow level or
Level 3 swim lesson. Swimmers will improve
swimming techniques while working on
conditioning and endurance.
Barracuda and Mini Cuda Regular
Season
The YMCA Barracuda Swim Team is a fun way for
kids to get involved in swimming. It is a summer
program that is continuing to grow at the YMCA.
Each year, more kids are learning the importance
of swimming and the values that are taught
through this program. This is a swimming league
for youth of all ages and swimming abilities.
There is a place for everyone on the YMCA
Barracuda Swim Team. We hope that you come and

Silver Splash
Silver splash is a group water fitness geared to
move through natural range of motion. Fun filled
class for socialization and spirit.
Water Walking
Exercise with minimal stress to your joints in this class,
30 minutes of water walking is comparable to walking 1 1/2 hours on land!
